Beachbody On Demand Maternity Programs

3-Day Refresh Day 2




I had a crummy night sleep...I don't know if has to do with my flu shot, a little kid peeing in a bed or my body detoxing donuts and meat (yup, seriously). I was hungry when I went to bed and I stayed hungry. I know a key component was I could have drunk little bit more water. Remember, your supposed to drink 1/2 your body weight in water (in addition to all the green tea and shakes) which is a lot of liquid and I felt like I was floating away.

So here's to day 2! Believing in yourself is half the battle. I know I can do this and I can!

Okay, so day 2 definitely feels like groundhog day. Wake up in the morning, drink your 8-12 oz of water and then within an hour of waking start your day with breakfast of Shakeology and one fruit option (yes, I am a creature of habit and had Greenberry again, a small banana and ice). This morning I felt really lethargic and was zapped of energy which really isn't like me. I had zero motivation to do anything but got through the typical housework of laundry and bills. I made sure to have the organic green tea and fiber sweep at the required times. No problems with that. 

I was little scared of the fiber sweep before I purchased it and I am going to show you that it is no big deal to make or drink.

I went into the Refresh trying to use up frozen and fresh fruits and veggies I had in my fridge and freezer. But today the pickings in the fridge were kinda slim so before lunch I went to pick up a few things to get through the day. Word of advice! Don't go to the grocery store hungry. I know people always say that but today I got to witness that first hand. Everything looked good and called my name. I stayed so strong and walked out with a $33 grocery bill. You definitely save money when your not buying sweets you don't need:)

The refresh calls for healthy fats but I really don't like any of them or I mentally don't think I do. I may have been hungry on day 1 because I didn't have any. I'm supposed to be having two servings of these daily but I haven't had any. Today I am so hungry that I am going to try hummus for the first time EVER. I picked up an organic roasted red pepper hummus that I knew I could dip into red peppers for lunch. Mission accomplished!

Lunch was the veggie option (the red peppers), the fruit option (grapes), the healthy fat option (hummus) and the vanilla fresh shake.


✔tip 1: start your kids eating healthy food early! My second daughter loves veggies and hummus (I only tried it for the first time today)
✔tip 2: a serving of hummus is usually 1-2 tbsp. Don't be fooled thinking you can eat the whole container because it is healthy!

My afternoon snack was some organic green juice which was nasty and green beans (yum)! Capped off the late afternoon eating with a nice cup of tea which hit the spot on a cold day.

Tonights dinner is from the book:
  • 2 cups spinach/salad greens
  • 1/2 medium cucumber
  • 1/2 medium red pepper sliced
  • 1/4 cup broccoli
  • 1/2 medium tomato
  • 1 tbspn fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp raw pumpkin seeds
The only things I wouldn't normally eat is the cucumber or tomato. They honestly scare me. I will eat them though! So I'm waiting a little bit till I'm really hungry and then will give this a shot. I made my kids pasta for dinner (sigh:(). BUT dinner was surprisingly delicious. I can picture it with some mozzarella cheese and chicken. I could definitely eat this once a week and I know this could make my overall diet healthier just from this definition. I decided to save the Vanilla Fresh shake for after some evening yoga. I thought splitting it up would help with some evening hunger pains or cravings. It does!

Success is in the eye of the beholder and for me Day 2 was fantastic! I tried new things and didn't give in to anything.

2nd Annual Diamond Day


The power of a camera. See my before and afters...

Have you seen the Oprah show where she spoils her guests and does nice things for them and gives them goodies? Well, I felt like a guest on her show yesterday.

I received the most beautiful invitation from my Beachbody upline sponsor. I was invited to a glamorous day where my sponsor thanks me for all my hard work that I put in during the rank and for maintaining my Diamond rank. 
My first stop was to the salon to get all glammed up. This is a far cry from my normal beautiful routine (remember, I have 4 kids so sometimes Mommy's beauty get's sidelined) was make up (first time with fake eyelashes) and a hair do that I loved!

We all got to bring along a fitness outfit for our photo shoot. Here is what I chose (Zella, from Norsdroms).

I then headed off to get a foot massage and read my book in peace before indulging in a delicious lunch (yes, Beachbody coaches eat!).

A limo than drove up to the salon and before we were whisked away to our professional photo shoot I got the most amazing bag of goodies. I am the biggest sucker for sparkles and monogramming. How amazingly cute are these shoes, water bottle and Nike bag. 

I never realized how much hard work a model puts in. The photographer at N-Focus was so great with us group of girls that he expertly moved us from position to position and I am sure we all got amazing shots that we can use for our business or to capture this sparkling day.

The day was capped off with a delicious dinner at Coopers Hawk.

3-Day Refresh Day 1

 Day 1

It's the first day of the Beachbody 3-Day Refresh. I am excited and mentally ready this round. I first tried this program when it initially came out and I bombed it! No, really! I didn't even make it 1 day last time!!!! I used to have two desserts a day (one after lunch and one after dinner, yes, seriously!) When starting a refresh you need to be ready to eat at certain times, drink enough water and not have anything you are used to on a daily basis. This time around it is game ON!

I haven't taken measurements or my weight in a LONG time. I just don't think it is important anymore. I use how I feel and my clothes as an indicator. But for the sake of the program I took them:

Day 1 measurements:

As you can see, I don't need to necessarily lose any weight. I do need to continue to work on my core and tightening up the stomach area. 

Upon waking, the program requires you to drink 8-12 oz of filtered water. I love the Contigo water bottles because they keep your water cold all night. Makes it much easier to start drinking water right when you wake up when it is already made for you.
Don't judge the morning shot! No hair or make up touched. All sleepiness natural!
An hour after waking it is breakfast. On the menu is Shakeology plus 1 fruit option from the list. I chose Greenberry Shakeology (you add 1 and 1/4 cup water) and ice if you want You also get a fruit option which you can eat or add to your shake. I added a small banana to my Shakeology rather than eating fruit. I normally have Shakeology for breakfast so this is not too different than what I would normally do. The only difference is I am not adding in tons of fruit like I would on a daily basis. This is a good reminder to me that I don't need to add in all the fruit. The shake tastes great just like I made it.

While on the Refresh you shouldn't do any demanding or strenuous exercise so I am looking for my programs that will help me clear my mind. Have you heard of Beachbody On Demand? You can do your workout from any place as long as you have a laptop or phone and internet connection. I was able to do Pilates in my bedroom while the kids happily played.

I visit the chiropractor once a week and today was my day for an adjustment. Crack, snap and pop! It's all about total body fitness.

At 9:30 am, I was ready for a cup of hot organic non sweetened tea. Silly as it is I usually dump tons of honey in and I was tempted to but I am so dedicated this time that I had it plain and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. And of course, this gave me some much needed book time.

The kids are all off school today so we took a nice walk admiring the Halloween decorations are neighbors have put up. When we got back it was time for my fiber sweep. I do not mind the fiber sweep at all! It tastes like lemonade to me so it is a treat.

There is a timing that needs to be done with your meals and snacks but this is all listed out in your program book along with a line item by line item that you can cross off as you go. I am still trying to use up things in my fridge so lunch was 2 cups spinach (my 1 veggie option), 12 strawberries (my fruit option) and a vanilla fresh shake. delicious and filling!



After a horrible Dr. visit with kids (and me!) getting our flu shots I remembered it was time for my afternoon snack of juice and a veggie. I had celery sticks in my fridge to use up so I decided to have those (2 medium ones). There is no way I am making juice so I found the best, wholesome version I could find (organic, non-GMO and no added sugar). It is a big 12 oz bottle so I measured and brought along 1 cup of it since I knew we would be at tumbling for the kids at that point.


I haven't really talked about water today because you are supposed to be drinking 1/2 your body weight in water. Let's just say I have been in the bathroom tinkling a lot! Water intake successful!

Dinner was 1 cup vegetable broth soup with the approved seasonings, a plate of veggies (I actually used up stuff in my fridge so I didn't waste anything) and my final vanilla fresh shake of the day. It was delicious! Absolutely delicious! And my stomach is only grumbling little bit out of hunger after dinner. I think this is where my nighttime snacking is probably in my muscle memory...My stomach is saying, "hey lady, where are your cookies?" Not for me belly!!!

 I had to laugh when I was drinking my dinner time vanilla fresh shake and my hubby pulled out his ice cream. Yup...this house is working on nutrition (well 1/2 of us!!!). How the heck does does my hubby get abs like his by just 30 minutes a day of working out and not focusing on nutrition. I am going to show you how you need to have both components!!!

Day 1 is in the can! It was a success and I love writing encouraging notes to my self to keep myself motivated!
