Our Dad is #1 (actually #2)

There comes a day in every man's life where his children think he is the number #1 guy. Today was that day for our kids. They have never seen their Daddy do his races. In fact, there are so many things that foreign such as the concept of him working (yes, he get's on a plane but does he stay there all week? Just easier to say Daddy is on the plane than to explain his job). So we decided to introduce the kids to our love of running a race.

The kids had so much fun making the signs (ok, Mommy made them with the kids getting into everything).

A mere 19 minutes after the horn blasted Shawn came across the finish line to victory.

Shawn's first mile was about 5 minutes so he was dying after the race. Thankfully his little boy was there to comfort him.

Don't look at the racers ages because this 36 year old guy got spanked by some 10 and 11 year old boys. What the heck are they feeding their kids...Shakeology?

It was a beautiful day to be a winner. The kids got to see their Dad's pride in something he loves and is passionate about. Shawn got humbled by getting number 2 in his age bracket and 6th overall. We can't be the best at everything after all!!
